Sweet Mango Lassi - Mango Smoothie

Alise’s must have at any Indian cuisine restaurant is the Mango Lassi. This is partly because she needs to cool to building heat of whatever dish she orders, but mostly because it is just delicious. It is so good, but even better…. easy to make at home.

Shopping list:

2 cups ripe mangoes peeled and chopped
1 cup yogurt (plain)
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar (Adjust to taste)
1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder
3 cups crushed ice or ice cubes, use as needed

Here’s how you make it:

Blend the mangoes, yogurt, milk and sugar. Adjust amount of sugar according to your taste since the sweetness of mango and tang of yogurt will vary. Add ice and cardamom powder. Blend until you reach your favorite consistency. We recommend a shake-like consistency. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
